I am Ger (Wa Meng) Lee. I was born on August 4, 1973, in Xiang Khouang, Laos, and currently live in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with my beautiful family. Through hard work and determination, I earned my General Education Degree (GED) from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) in Green Bay. I continued my education by earning additional certifications in Hmong cultural traditions, including Txiv Xaiv, MejKoob, Kavxwm, and Txiv Hu Plig.

I currently work at American Food Group as a Quality Control Lead, where I have been employed for 10 years. In this role, I work closely with Food Safety and the USDA Department of Wisconsin. Before joining American Food Group, I spent 20 years working for JBS as a Lead.

I am deeply passionate about supporting the Hmong community. Since the age of 19, I have been actively involved in community work and have advocated for Hmong families. I currently serve as Culture Chair for Hmong American United of Green Bay and have been a board member for the past five years.

My platform focuses on strengthening and improving our Hmong wedding and funeral traditions while preserving our rich culture. I believe it is important to offer classes and training for our youth and emerging leaders so they are better prepared to understand Hmong customs and rituals. With proper training, they will be able to solve problems, address community concerns, and help build a healthier Hmong community.

Another part of my platform is building stronger relationships with city and state leaders. Once those relationships are established, I will help educate them about Hmong culture and traditions so they can better understand the Hmong people and our rich heritage.

"In conclusion, one rope can break easily, but many ropes woven together become strong and successful. If elected President of the Hmong 18 Council of Wisconsin, I will work to unite our 18 clans, strengthen our community, and help move the council to the next level."
